Welcome to Mrs. Grechko's music classroom!
Music technology is a great way to help students become self-motivated and self-judging learners. My music lessons integrate technology in a way that students can explore new music concepts, as well as practice, analyze and create pieces of music using musical instruments with computer applications. Working with midi-keyboards, students learn musical processes using instruments and technological tools in a hands-on environment.
There are numerous multimedia applications that my students like to use. Their favorite application is GarageBand that combines audio, images, text and graphics . Working with this application, students practice and learn orchestration and arrangement techniques, record their voices and songs that they play on their instruments, create music compositions, and learn music notation. The GarageBand application presents virtual reality in the form of simulation that provides students with the capability to experience things that they may not have in real life. For example, students can play their favorite instrument with the virtual band and have a virtual performance onstage in front of huge crowd of fans. Students may record their performances and listen to their songs while receiving immediate feedback.
